John’s background in criminal justice and records management lends him insight when it comes to providing support for the attorneys handling your case.
Here at The Head Law Firm, John uses this insight to help our clients get through the legal process as smoothly as possible.
Criminal charges can send anyone's life into a spiral, but if you are a professional in the field of medicine, law, finance, or real estate, you may pay an even steeper price than just fines and time in jail. Charges like a DUI, theft crime, drug possession, assault, or sexual misconduct could lead to you losing your professional license and, as a result, your career.
At Head Law Firm, we firmly believe that one mistake, false allegation, or misunderstanding should not put someone's entire life in jeopardy. We work closely with our clients so that we can personally fight to get such charges or convictions reduced, dismissed, or expunged whenever possible. In many cases, our help allows our clients to:
Being convicted of a crime can change a lot, but it doesn’t necessarily seal your fate. In many cases, you may be able to expunge your record and/or restore your driver’s license with the help of an experienced legal team. By doing so, you could be saving yourself from a lot of future stress, as potential employers, landlords, lenders, and other important decision-makers will not see that arrest on your record. To learn whether you are eligible for expungement and/or license restoration in Michigan, we encourage you to give us a call.
This client was planning to buy a house and put down a large deposit on it. After realizing the seller was not forthcoming and the deal was not what he wanted, he asked for our help to terminate the agreement.
Our client had two felony drug charges from ten years ago, had skipped bond, and just never took care of them. After getting involved, we quickly discovered that the State did not have the evidence to proceed to trial and win.
A prominent local attorney faced foreclosure and the loss of her family’s house due to complicated legal and financing circumstances.
Unfortunately, sometimes people file frivolous lawsuits. Recently, our client, a doctor, was sued by her ex-husband’s new wife. It was clear from the start that the lawsuit was filed to harass our client.
Choosing your attorney is a big decision whether you’re looking for general advice or you're involved in a serious legal bind. No matter the nature of your case, you deserve a team who understands how important your situation is to you and who is willing to go the extra mile to help you reach your goals.
For you, maybe those goals involve improving or protecting your business. Maybe they have to do with getting through the probate process as quickly and painlessly as possible. Or maybe they revolve around recovering from a criminal charge. Whatever the circumstances, trust that our priority is helping you past any hurdles that stand in your way while coming out better for the experience.
Allow us to give you an example. We once had a client who made the same mistake that so many others have made — she got behind the wheel after having a few drinks too many.
As much as we do not condone drunk driving, we also believe that in this case, the punishment did not fit the crime. Our client was looking at hefty fines and possible jail time for a brief, regrettable lapse in judgment. After reviewing the evidence, we discovered that her arresting officers had skipped a crucial step in the arrest process, which gave us an opportunity to fight for a second chance on her behalf. When it was all said and done, our client’s sentence consisted of paying fines and costs and the case was closed. No jail and no probation. We helped her get counseling and she learned an important lesson without sacrificing a bright future.
